The Cuttlefish also has two fins on each side of its body so it can swim more slowly.
\r\n This photograph clearly shows the cuttlefish launching itself, scattering sand in the process using its water jet propulsion.
\r\nAlthough called a cuttlefish, it is actually a member of the mollusc family along with octopus and squid which are among the most intelligent species.
\r\nFrom personal experience they can be very curious and friendly.
\r\nThe Cuttlefish have 10 tentacles (8 arms with suction cups on the inner surface and 2 longer tentacles that can shoot out to grasp its prey). Between the tentacles they have a parrot like beak to help devour its prey.
\r\nThe white internal cuttlebone which helps form its body shape is often found washed up on beaches and finds it way into the family bird cage.
\r\n
\r\nCamera: Nikon FM2
\r\nLens: AF MICRO NIKKOR
60mm 1:2.8
\r\nFlash: Metz 30BCT4
\r\nExposure:1/60sec at f/16
\r\n
\r\nMatting: Black Border, Black Insert.
\r\n
\r\n( Press on Arrow Button alongside purchase window to select your online size and price category.)
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n","15/01/93","Copyright: John Lloyd","Under Port Noarlunga Jetty, South Australia","","",8327,1);photos[1487047]=new photo(1487047,"101947","Cat No: A0148BC","gallery","WEBPA0148BC2.jpg",580,421,"Camouflage",0,0,"Little Scorpion Fish.
